Merry Christmas everyone. Now that the holiday formalities are out of the way, I am at the gym warming up for a spinning session.

I’ve been to a few spin classes, but today I am venturing out on my own since it’s a holiday and no instructor is willing to work today (which I understand).

So for today, I came up with a 60 minute playlist. Should be fun!

Pre Race Jitters

Apologies in advance as I am writing this blog from my phone.

Its the afternoon before the big day and I just got back to my hotel. Tom and I went to the Phoenix Convention Center to pickup my goodie bag and race bib.

I was a bit disappointed with the goodie bag since the only things in it were a bunch of coupons, brochures and other random papers that will be recycled.

The rest of the day will involve a whole lot of relaxing and doing nothing. We may go catch a movie. Relax is the key word….calm before the storm.

I’m still nervous though….

I’m currently in line at the grocery store…this is the longest line at the checkout that I’ve ever experienced….but it’s the night before Thanksgiving. While I have the moment….

So it’s been a couple of days since I’ve written a post. Training was all going as planned until thursday when it started getting super super hot. The nighttime (usually when I train) temperatures were still in the 90’s so I had to settle for running indoors on a treadmill.

I also spent the weekend relaxing and hanging out with my family. On Saturday, we went to Zuma Beach which was freaking amazing.

I spent a great amount of time running around, getting eaten up by big waves, throwing around a football, etc. But since then, l’ve been sunburned and my right foot is hurting. Not sure what’s wrong, but hopefully it will heal itself so I can resume my training program by tuesday.
