I just got home from Phoenix. This will be a very short post, because I am uber tired, in pain and need some rest tonight. Today’s marathon turned into a half-marathon for me due to severe pain in my left leg at mile 9. I struggled through four miles and was able to get the halfway point before I decided to retire for the day. Since that tim, I’ve been in an unbelievable amount of pain, and tomorrow night, I plan on seeing the doctor.
I’ll go into details when I have more time to write.
Now I know what it feels like when an athlete loses in the playoffs. It sucks, bad.
On a brighter note, I got a medal for completing the half-marathon.
Hey Dave,
Sorry to hear that the big race turned bad for you, hope all is well and nothing serious is wrong.
Best wishes for a quick recovery.
on a side not any sugestions for someone on how to get into a running routine, I really need to get in better shape and thought about giving running a try
hey bro, i wish i could come to your marathons.
I ran at the gym tonight, but didn’t do too well. I ran half a mile then walked half a mile then ran a little more. I suck at running. I am so jealous of you. I would feel like the most acomplished person on the planet if i could run a marathon like you.
Love you!
Hey! I just checked in to see how the marathon went. I am proud of you! Way better than I could EVER do! I hope you are okay. Let me know what the doc said….

Dave! I was glad to hear from you awhile ago on my blog and I spaced it until now when I was browsing Taelor’s blog. I’m sorry to hear you got hurt during the race – but I’ve gotta commend you on running hard enough to hurt yourself. Kudos to you! Let me know how it went with the dr.
